For only those specific inappropriate men out there (in my case, one person at work who gets on my nerves by saying something inappropriate every time I meet him) - here are a few things to remember when you are around a pregnant woman at your work place.
1) Do not ask a woman if she is pregnant. She will update you of her condition when she deems it necessary to inform you on her time off from work or any impact to her work schedule. If you ask if she is pregnant in the middle of a status update meeting you come off as a total creep.
2) It is never okay to comment on a co-workers physical appearance. Pregnancy does not offer special previlages to breach that. DO NOT comment on the size of a pregnant woman's belly. Yes, pregnant bellies tend to grow. There is a real mini-human growing in there.
3) Human female species will be pregnant for 9 long months. You may be tired of seeing me pregnant everyday, but no, I am not tired of the wait. No, no ... let me rephrase that...whether I am or not, is not any of your problem. Stop asking.
4) If everytime you bring up questions regarding her pregnancy, she answers to the point and gets back to work related topics, get the hint - she is not interested in discussing her pregnancy with you.
5) Do not provide your free advise and comparisons to what your wife went through. I did not ask nor am I interested in knowing.
6) You don't have to start every conversation with some question or comment on her pregnancy. You are not my well-wisher, you are not my family, you are not my friend - I don't inquire about your personal life, don't invade mine. Keep it professional.
